This is a 4 tube "screen grid" TRF radio.
Screen grid tubes, or "Tetrodes", eliminated the feedback problem of triodes. Radios could be built with higher amplification, which allowed building radios with fewer tubes thus lowering costs.

The Voco Radio Manufacturing Company was incorporated in Pittsburgh, PA in 1932 and apparently declared bankruptcy on February 10th 1933.
